Hey I went to prison from TYC and under the wrong name. Reentry denied my birthcertificate and social, because my # and name didnt match. I’m out and everywhere I go to denies me because they all say I need what I dont have. Only my release papers and offender ID. I’m really lost. Went to SS, and everything, does anyone know what I need to do to get my paperwork? I’m only 20 and been locked up since I was 15. Needless to say I’m lost. Thank ya’ll.
i would like to know how to apply for the ex offender’s grants, thank you in advance.

Hi my name is Veronica, and just today I found out I have a felony and current misdemeanor, well I knew I had a two adult convictions but I didn’t know one of them was a felony, now I feel like I am marked for life,…hopeless, but that’s exactly what has restores my faith in Jesus, because doesn’t God test you everyday, or tests your faith?…well I feel everyday I am being tested and now want to live the life Jesus lived…I know I am not perfect, but I am doing the best that I can do…I was forced to actually live in a apartment after I was let out…usually you have to find people who rent out rooms if you want to live on your own…I don’t know about owning a house though…how that works out?…let me know, because I currently go to College and need to find work even though I have a bad record, I pray to god that he helps me through this…he always does.
I just got out of prison i served 13 years. While in prison i lost 100 lbs, quit smoking, and have changed my way of thinking and doing things. I was not a good person before prison, I know i am now. I started a job a week ago, a Christian gave me a chance. I also am a Christian though i am not perfect. However my biggest issue is i cant find a apartment or house. I maybe a felon considered among the worst because many people do not believe in second chances.I live in the Baltimore area and looking for a safe and affordable home. Is there anyone could help me. Tier 3 though i am not a danger
Hi everyone my name is Jorge and I think its very unfair that they call prison (Department of corrections) and I’m one of the few statistics that got out and finished college and did everything to get back on a great path. Im a successful general manager and a proud father of a baby girl. Unfortunately no matter how much of a model citizen I’ve been no establishment allows me to rent because of a mistake i did as a 15 year old. I feel it is very contradicting that you try so hard to do good for yourself and family and the system bashes you and forces you to go back to the enviroment that facilitated me to making poor choices. I took full responsibility for my actions and it still isn’t enough. Ive been denied everywhere with no exceptions and the current place I’m at is evicting my fiancé because they found out I’m not on the lease only her. Im so disappointed in the judicial system as a lot of people love to say “why don’t people get a job” or why don’t people turn there life around but the simple truth that people don’t realize is that everything is set up for failure! Im not asking for anything free ,I’m asking for justice just like everyone else. Hopefully someone feels the same way and little by little things can change. I was always told that if i acted like my old ways i would end up in jail or dead and now that Ive been 10 years without issues and i still can’t live a nice life with the basics like a good job and a stable home for a family to be raised. if someone can help, please reply thank you for your time and consideration.
Jorge this is a good example of what i was talking about, start bombarding you state and local government with complaints tell them you will not vote for them or support them if they can not correct this problem dont give them your name or address

Michelle keep trying there are many out there that will rent look on craigslist and backpage.com do not let them run background or credit, they wont rent to you, tell them no and that you will submit them to the nationwide list of people not to rent from, keep focused and keep hope.
