Many temp agencies hire felons for a number of different jobs and careers. We do not know of any temp agencies that hire only felons but we have found that almost all do offer positions to felons from time to time. Below you will find a list of temp agencies as well as other helpful employment information. Please remember to visit our main jobs page also also.
Temp Agencies That Hire Felons
Four Reasons Why Felons MUST Apply With Temp Agencies
- The first advantage of applying to temp agencies as a felon is that it allows you to view and apply for a large number of jobs at one time. The sheer quantity of jobs that you apply for increases your chances of finding a felon friendly employer.
- Each employer that the staffing agency is hiring for will have different policies regarding criminal records. The staffing agency will be able to help you sort through the list of employers quickly and let you know if any of them are felon friendly.
- Many, but not all employers that use staffing agencies need to fill a position quickly. They may be in such desperate need they will hire a felon.
- Many small businesses utilize staffing agencies and are less likely to discriminate against felons.
How Temp Agencies Work
Many temp agencies offer temporary and permanent jobs for felons in some cases. This means that you will go work for a company for a certain period of time, usually 90 days then will be hired on directly by whoever or whatever company you are working for. This often means that you will get a raise in pay and receive benefits.
This may not always be the case though, sometimes a job will truly be temporary and may last anywhere between one week and 6 months. Remember to check back often with the temp agency because they often post new jobs on a weekly basis or even sometimes a daily basis.
Small Local Temp Agencies Hire Felons
Remember to check out all of the small independently owned temp agencies in your local area. These can be just as good or even better than the larger temp service companies. Often times they deal with small business that don’t have blanket rules about hiring felons. This can work to your advantages because you may be able to talk with the owner directly and explain your situation and how valuable of an employee you can be.
Remember that when meeting face to face with an employer it is imperative that you communicate to him why and how you will be an outstanding employee.

This is Tab Staffing in Camp Hill Pa, Hector – I have sat here and read every single article put up by everyone – I know it is tough out there, if any company comes forward and signs up with us i will gladly be the first to list it as fast as possible. I am a born again christian and I’m the first to believe in second chances. We have all fallen short at one time or another in our lives but all of your honesty/laying bare your souls/hurt here has moved me to act. I wish there were more companies that were willing to come forward and act. I am in the process of trying to get a number of companies on board that do not have such strict requirements. If we do get a response, any of you that get hired by us must be on your most excellent behavior – you will then have a willing fighter on your behalf.
Take care everyone and keep up your heads up

I am a felon with a recent drug conviction, and a forgery in 2006 its been difficult finding a job, I have over 25 years experience in the welding industry….who will hire a guy like me in the welding field??? I need help finding work in Houston Texas…
Check on craigslist. I know it seems impossible but you will catch a break at some point.
I am a convicted white collar felon in the Milwaukee area (who actually did not even commit the crimes I was convicted of). I am having a hard time finding any work at all. I have even looked into starting my own business and have found the areas of my education, skills and experience won’t allow me to get the licenses necessary (CPA, Loans, Mortgage Broker). I have no ideas on what to do anymore. I am a college graduate, was very successful, have a high IQ, and could not even be a cashier at the grocery store. I am just trying to support my wife and two young kids, and there are no options. Its amazing to me not only how limited the options are, but just how biased the general public is against felons. I am not naive enough to think there wouldn’t be issues, but some people seriously think all felons should die, and completely forget that we are human beings as well.
You have the skills and knowledge to be successful. Maybe you should consider something like website building. That’s what I did. You can learn everything you need to know online for free.
Matt-
That is actually a really good idea, thank you. How long did it take you to learn it?
Thanks,
Anthony
Hey Tony,
Really it is not that hard and it took me maybe a couple weeks of reading and research.
