Future Technologies

Future Technologies most often looking for cable installers statewide. You will be responsible for installing cable within people’s homes and will work at heights, in attics and crawl spaces. You must be able to pass extensive background and drug screening that goes 7 years back with no misdemeanors or felonies.

Lowe’s  – Applicants may be rejected if an interview if a background check reveals that the applicant has been convicted of a felony involving property.

JPMorgan Chase  – Note that any felony conviction within the last seven years will disqualify you from consideration.

Southwest Airlines – Gate Agents

Evermark – Milford, CT – Applicants must have no felonies involving theft or violence and be able to pass drug screen.

Strategic Business Systems, Inc – Stamford, CT – Felony & Misdemeanor are run for all addresses in the last 7 years.

Prince Telecom – Newington, CT – Cable installation: 10 year background check.

Benjamin Hoisington – Bloomfield, CT – Licensed Auto Insurance Producer – Adhering to strict FCC rules, please don’t apply if you have any felony related to theft, violence, drugs within the past seven years or ANY past convictions concerning violation of the FCC rules.

Background Check Limits in Connecticut

It is important to understand that some states have laws regarding how far back a criminal background check can go. Unfortunately Connecticut does not limit how far back an employer can do a background check. Here are the laws in other states.

Twelve states do not allow any felony conviction information older than seven years to be reported.

Some states will not report court cases where you were found NOT guilty: Hawaii, Indiana, Kentucky, Massachusetts, Alaska, California, New York and Michigan.

These states will report unlimited numbers of years back of felony convictions and also report NOT guilty verdicts: Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, New Jersey, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oregon, Rhode Island, Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, Connecticut, Delaware, DC, Florida, Idaho, Indiana, Iowa, Louisiana, Maine, South Carolina, Tennessee, Utah, Vermont, Virginia, West Virginia, Wisconsin, and Wyoming.
